WEDDING CEREMONY

We cannot wait to get married on Saturday March 7th at 2:00pm in the beautiful Faith Chapel at Prestonwood Church - Plano. Prestonwood is Stephen's home church, though he typically attends the smaller Prosper, TX campus. Logistics: Please use the Bookstore/Chapel Entrance. Guest seating starts 1:30pm. TEXAS RECEPTION

A small reception will be held at EG Steak in Frisco. The restaurant opens at 4:00PM which will feature a cocktail/mocktail time until 4:30PM. Dinner is Brazilian-style dining. MINNESOTA SECOND RECEPTION

Sarah's parents will be hosting a separate reception on Saturday May 23rd in Minnesota for local family friends. Details about that will be mailed out by April 2026.

Our Wedding

Sarah and Stephen are both employed as Project Managers. Stephen works in the insurance industry (Careington). After a decade working on Verizon telecommunications projects, Sarah is now in the Customer Communications Management industry (Lanvera) working on IT projects for financial institutions.-Sarah's hobbies include coaching and swimming with Lone Star Synchro artistic swimming team, traveling, crafting, and caring for her pet rabbit, Ranger.-Stephen's hobbies include football and online gaming with his brothers and friends, serving at church, and spoiling his pet Maltipoo, Abby.

OUR BASICS

Sarah &amp; Stephen met by matching on the Christian dating app Upward. After likely tens of thousands of profiles, Sarah finally found Stephen's profile and sent him a "super like". Stephen was excited to see that and sent her a message which was soon followed by their first date.

HOW WE MET

Stephen and Sarah went to Fort Walton Beach, FL a place they experienced and loved in Fall 2024 when visiting a friend's wedding celebration. It further came up when Stephen, his brother Brandon, and friend Lucas visited in Summer 2025, as well as brother Michael later on that summer for Prestonwood Church's Beach camp.-Anyone who has been around Sarah for years will know she is always looking for a good deal, especially to go to a beach.-On a beach outside of Destin, FL in Navarre, FL Stephen hired a decorator and photographer and dropped onto one knee during a "quick stop" on their way to dinner to celebrate their 18-month dating anniversary.

Though our Texas ceremony and reception will be small, we recognize that family and friends will be coming from all over the country to celebrate with us. Both DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport are conveniently located about 25 minutes away from Prestonwood. For Sunday return flights, please remember that the wedding night is during Daylight Saving Time.

HOTELS

While we have not reserved a particular room block, there are many hotels in the area, especially near Stonebriar Centre (Mall) in Frisco, which is close to EG Steak. Please note that some hotels in the area may be impacted by nearby freeway noise. Home2 Suites by Hilton Dallas-Frisco, TXThis is the closest hotel to our reception location and is about a 13-minute walk (around the mall parking lot). There are so many things to do around the Plano-Frisco area. Here are a couple that we thought would be fun to share.

1 min from EG Steak10 min from Prestonwood Church We recommend this area as "home base" for those traveling from outside the area. Stonebriar Centre mall is where Sarah and Stephen went on their second date. It is also where Stephen purchased Sarah's engagement ring. There's even a place to go indoor skydiving right outside the mall, though we've never done it. Stephen works at Careington, which is about a half-mile north of the Centre.

7 min from EG Steak10 min from Prestonwood Church Grandscape Entertainment District where Sarah and Stephen's first date was. They went to Puttery, an upscale adults-only (certain times) mini-golf course.

12 min from EG Steak9 min from Prestonwood WorldSprings is an expansive outdoor social wellness destination featuring over 40 mineral pools inspired by famous waters from around the globe, such as the Dead Sea and the Blue Lagoon. Essentially, it has many different hot tubs and saunas with various minerals. Sarah and Stephen loved checking this place out and would highly recommend. A cool night makes it even more fun.
